Hilton changes heads

Věra Smith has been appointed the head of executive search for the Hays’ Central Eastern Europe division. Hays is a UK-based recruitment company. Prior to joining Hays, Smith ran the Smith Henley Group HR division for five years, before which she worked for Recruitment International as country manager for nearly seven years. In her new role, she will focus on executive search appointments at a senior level in all of Hays’ core markets.The Hilton Prague and Hilton Old Town have announced changes to management at both locations. Michael Specking, 51, is the new general manager at both Hilton Prague and Hilton Prague Old Town. He has been promoted from his former role as general manager at Hilton Prague only, which he began in July of 2007. Prior to coming to Prague, he was the general manager at Hilton Dusseldorf from 2001. He is a graduate of the University of Munich with a degree in economics and hotel and restaurant management and has worked in the hospitality industry for more than 25 years.
Ruhsar Eryoner is the new director of business development for Hilton Prague and Hilton Prague Old Town. She replaces Minna Makela, who has taken a position at the Waldor Astoria Rome. Eryoner graduated from the faculty of tourism and hotel management at Bosphorus University in Istanbul, and has been working in the hospitality industry for more than 15 years. She previously worked as director of business development in Athene Palace Bucharest Hilton.
Monika Bevreus is the new hotel manager of Hilton Prague Old Town. She graduated in hotel management at Oxford Brooks University in the UK. She worked previously for the Westin Stamford in Singapore and onboard the Seabourne Spirit Cruise Line. She began working for Hilton’s Fast Track Management Program nine years ago.
Jones Lang LaSalle has been named co-exclusive leasing agent for the first GreenBuilding in the Czech Republic. JLL Office Agency will be leasing the Nordica Ostrava on behalf of Skanska Property Czech Republic. The office building is the first property to receive the GreenBuilding certificate from the European Commission. The InterContinental Praha has appointed Tobias Krepek, 37, its new director of finance and business support. He replaces Jerome Fuchs, who moved after one year to Express by Holiday Inn Avignon to be their general manager. Krepek worked for years with Hilton Hotels, including positions in Glasgow, Munich, Frankfurt and Cologne. He most recently worked as clustered finance manager at Hilton Cologne and Hilton Bonn.
